Ansa Muffler just arrived Pics!
The Ansa Muffler just arrived. Here are some pictures. I am going to try to have it put on today. This muffler is a little wider than the Magnaflow universals at 6"x9" and the tip are about 3 1/4" round each. Can't wait to hear it. I will also post a sound clip when I figure out how to do that.

Not everybody's car will sound like yours did - air intake etc.

The easiest way probably to do it is if your digital camera has a video feature just record. Don't put the microphone too close, probably 5 or 6 feet away, because it'll overwhelm the little mic on the camera. Just connect the camera to the computer and go to YouTube and find and upload the file from the camera. It's pretty simple.
Also, I have a sound clip of my stock exhaust on YouTube if anyone needs to compare.

I like the way Ansa mufflers sound. Does it sound similar to this?

But not as loud. It does sound like it has more cylinders or is revving much higher. In park or neutral you can rev it and it sounds like you are hitting 8,000 rpm but you cannot go over 4,000 rpm without having the car in drive. Ansa just has a way of making the engine sound like it is turning twice the rpm's it really is. For decades Ansa is the system that gave Ferrari its sound.
How much louder is it than stock? Can you actually hear it inside the car under light load? I hate not being able to hear my engine unless it's wide open like the stock system, it's too darn quiet. I was interested in the Magnaflow cat-back when I got the money, but if it's that good sounding like you say it is, I may have to go the route of the Ansa.
Lantana,
Can you step back a few feet and get a rear shot of the car? I want to see how it looks with the whole car in the pic.
Glad to hear you like it!

If you don't want to sound like a V6 this is the way to go. If you listen to other sound clips of Ansa on You Tube like the V6 Alfa and Ferrari posted above you will hear the rpms sound like they are higher than they really are. I think Ansa has figured out how to make 6 sound pulses going in sound like 12 coming out. If you are interested you should call Gwen at Ansa USA in Macon GA. Let her know that you heard about the Ansa equipped car in Texas and she will treat you very fairly.

I was at the Ansa website and didn't see one listed for the Crossfire or Mercedes, Only the PT Cruiser. Which one did you use, and how much did it cost?
Was this a cat-back system...or just a muffler?

If you call them ask for Gwen.
I may have ordered the last one. She will tell you if they can get more from Italy. They have plenty of the round ones. I was going to run two of these side by side but wasn't 100% sure the would fit, but they might.

Anxious to hear a sound clip - I am up in the air between removing the resonator or leaving it on the SRT...may just change the muffler, seems simpler.

What was the total cost, I'm debating on your muffler upgrade or new H&R springs, what to get first???
