Default Help! I broke one of the airbox screws!

So this afternoon I made a foolish mistake by trying to rush the install of new air filters... For whatever reason I thought I recalled there only being three screws... so I unscrewed the three screws and pulled on the cover and POP the fourth screw i didnt remove broke off with the plastic drive hole from the cover still attached!!

I went ahead and changed the air filters with the K&Ns i purchased and replaced everything as normal. There is a slight gap in the outer edge of the side that broke off... But i dont think its large enough to let anyting through.

So I have several questions, I'm hoping someone can help answer...

Is it ok to continue to drive with one of the screws not attached? I assume as long as i dont drive in the rain i should be ok?

How much does a new cover cost? I looked on ebay but couldnt find one.

Is there a way to repair the cover or am i stuck buying a new one?

Does this present a good time to upgrade the intake given my need for a new cover? I still have the powertrain warranty and I'd like to keep it that way...

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Note to self... dont try to rush things after a long day of work!

One just sold on E-bay a couple of days agoe for $99.00 But it is rare that you can find one on there. That was the first and only one I had seen.

Without seeing the broken area it's hard to make a firm suggestion.
However, look at whether you can use a longer screw, or bigger diameter. You may have to do some drilling, but it's cheaper than $100 on ebay.

Is there enough of the shaft from the broken screw exposed to use a small tap handle to grab it? You can turn it out using this tool if there is.

Thanks for the replies... I'll try to get some pictures up this week.

I'm pretty sure i can get the screw out its just figuring out how to secure the corner. I'll take a look at drilling a new hole when i take the cover of for the picture shoot.
