Default Got me some trim this weekend

Found some on the bargain table at the auto parts store (door edge trim - that is) and I thought; “I sure could use a little of this”

When working in the engine bay installing mods, I had scrapped my hands and arms on the heat shields more then once. One shield had a sliver that could slice cow hide.

A little heat gun to soften up the trim and help work/fit around all the radiuses and bends, a little black adhesive silicone and a little patience and it came out pretty nice - - - for $1 piece of trim.

Cheap & Easy - can't complain about that and still not ashamed to show-off some pics.

Hey there is nothing wrong with a little trim, and yes I went into the gutter with the rest of you, the only problem is when it starts to ITCH. LOL.

Double meaning aside.

Looks tedious to me but some good pictures at several different angles posted being very helpful pointers.

At least this won't happen like what happened in RE: I ruined my life

I can't make a determination until I can see what's what; preferably from several different angles.

Good luck with your mods - and as always - enjoy the ride.
Trim or no trim - enjoy the ride

Take your time and warm the trim up, but never warmer then your fingers can handle, just bend and shape - sometimes you must hold it there to get the desired effect - then let her cool at her own pace and you have perfected a technique that can be used on all models.

Looks great Brian, I've cut myself more than once on those sharp edge's too. I have a little of that trim left over from installing some fender flare's on a truck I had, I'll have to see if I have enough to do the same.
