It seeems after reading this article that:
  1. If you are careful with extraction you're ok.

Some folks are using pumps to extract the oil during a oil change. Mobil doesn't recommend the extraction method vs. draining of the oil pan conventionally, unless the engine is well maintained. I just thought it was interesting question / answer to read.

I used the extraction method once - but I discovered an oil change garage in town that carries both the Mobile 1 and fleece filter - $95.00. Can't go wrong with that....Plus I get -$5.00 off next change.
