Any high-quality oil or gasoline will have sufficient detergents/additives for your car.

MB doesn't recommmend fuel additives, but I have been known to add MMT-based octane enhancers where 93-octane wasn't available.

I wouldn't worry about a Techron treatment harming your car.

I used Lucas Octane Booster for the first time last fill up - might be my imagination but I though she ran better with it...

I've also used injector cleaner. Nothing in the oil though.

How much was the octane booster and what mix/blend did you use?

I've used Seafoam for years in all my cars by adding it to the fuel. Periodically I add some to my oil right before I change it to clean up what little crap that may be lingering in the engine.
