DKNIESS, The engine cover I have I think is from the V8 so the filters that would normally go inside are bigger. Without the filters and with the wider air intakes going into the box it's less air restrictive, so it gets more air. The air intake tubes and filters I bought off e-bay, but yes they're pointed directly where there cold air is coming from. It does have a nice roar, and I do feel an increase in performance. I'm happy with the results I'm seeing/feeling. I hope to do the TVT-250 injectors and ECU mod. Then I will be set, I think
.

I wiped the manifolds off with paint thinner, sanded the raised lettering with 400grit sandpaper, cleaned again with thinner and then I hand painted them with a little model brush and model paint. I didn't know if it would hold up but I've had NO issues(flaking, discoloring, etc) in the 5 months that it's been on the car.
FP ...you need a chrome oil dipstick and chrome caps for the brake fluid and power steering fluid and coolant overflow tank
Looks good IMO

BLING-bling-bling-bling-bling-bling-bling.......under ma hood. Finally completed my engine bay. I have to thank SRT SIX for the carbon fiber, and MAXCICHON for fabricating all the bling for me (battery cover, Fuse cover, ECU cover, Air Intake covers, unknown box
cover, and more. I can't commit for MAX, but if you're interested send him a PM on the polished SS fabrication. GREAT JOB guys. More pics in my gallery.
