Polish External Surfaces of Engine???
I saw someone here on the forum had polished the exterior surfaces of their engine - such as the intake parts that have the SRT-6 logo on them, or the top of the supercharger.
My question is: what is the benefit of this?
Obviously, it looks nice. But is there more to it, performance-wise?

Strictly for looks. It does look GREAT! Technically a rough surface, vented, finned, etc. is much better for cooling as it gives more surface area to dissapate heat. But chrome or polished aluminum does look SWEET!.

Cool. Thanks!
I suppose that a polished part would absorb less radiant heat, since it is refelctive. But I'm betting a lot more heat is conducted through direct contact than absorbed radiantly.
