how to remove alternator pulley.. ?

i need to remove my alternator pulley so that i can replace it with a larger one.. i have tryed everything i can think of to free it.. no luck so far. if anyone can help me out id really appreciate it! thanks in advance..

i think i have found the answer.. im going to try an aluminum strap wrench.. i just needed something to hold the pulley still while i got it loose. so we will see how it works out.. ill post here when i find the solution.

does anyone know which way the bolt on the pully is threaded? i cant tell if it is normal or if it is reversed.

Use an impact gun to remove the nut while holding the pulley with a glove. Get a buddy to suspend the alternator by the pulley while you use a brass drift to tap the shaft out or use a puller if you have one
I use a chain grip to remove pulleys. I think I bought it at lowes. It is a set of vise grips with a short chain. You wrap the chain around the pulley, set the tension with the set screw as per normal vise grips and done. Wrap the pulley with a shop rag to prevent scratching it up.
