Default Review: TVT 250, CAI, & Customer Service

The short of it? Good, Good, and Excellent.

The details?...

I bought a TVT 250 kit and a CAI from Anthony when he first announced it. Living nearby and not having the time to take the Crossfire out of commision, I inquired about visiting his shop for an install (when his move was completed). He graciously agreed. Well, being a nagging PITA customer I asked him to bump up the install up so I could have the upgrades before my vacation to a Detroit car convention. He was more than willing to help me and we worked out a time.

The moment I showed up at his garage he was ready for me. He had the computer powered up and ready to verify compatibility with my car's stock software and the parts layed out and ready for install. He found much to our dismay that my 07 base model had a different checksum than any of the Crossfires that had been modified yet (just my luck) but he went right to work correcting the problem by calling in the real-time remote developement of a tune that would work with my PCM (If you've never seen somebody read, modify, and flash and PCM remotely through a laptop... it's pretty damn cool).

A couple hours, some friendly conversation, and a few free lessons about the assembly nuances of a Crossfire later... My car sounded meaner and pulled MUCH better between 3000 and 6000 rpm (Anthony came of a short ride with me just to verify everything was working right). The computer takes a bit to relearn the new injectors and airflow, and after 100 miles I'm feeling an improvement in cruising RPM as well. THIS is how a Crossfire should have performed from factory!

Anthony's services are a bargain and ABSOLUTELY worth purchasing if you are looking to make your Crossfire faster.

There is no doubt in my mind that my dad's SRT4 is in for one hell of a fight.

THANKYOU TVT DESIGN!

Glad to read this link. After speaking to him several times on the phone I was impressed with his knowledge. We'll see what happens. I hope I'm not expecting to much in terms of more punch when I want it.

Yeah, the Crossfire seems to suffer from the same "By golly, lets change things for the sake of changing it" school of thought that has plauged Chrysler's LX aftermarket since its introduction... But Anthony has proven the solution is fairly easy although a little expensive to him personally as he has so far covered the extra time and money it takes to fix the incompatibility.

+1 for customer service.

Can't wait to get mine by the end of the summer. I wish someone would post some videos or take theirs to the track for some times.

I'll be in detroit at the SDAC-18 convention next week. Depending on the weather I'll seriously consider shelling out the cash to race it @ Milan.

Anthony's customer service is #1. i have had business with him many times now and i am never disapointed. I got the 250 kit put on and sent him my ecu to program. there is an improvement like no other in the car.

Also since i've had everything done on mine for a few weeks now, i want to fill yall in on the difference of gas mileage. after the injectors install, i thought the mileage would drop alot. after checking it for a 2 week period, i've went from 29-30 miles per gallon to 27-28 miles per gallon. and i do drive it hard and i'm in the throttle alot. so the 2 miles per gallon is well worth the extra power. just in case some of you all were wondering.

This is exactly what i found regarding the injectors.
I was expecting my mpg to go down but it seems to either have stayed the same or gone up. weird

I find that my mileage can improve, as I don't have to punch it so hard with all the improvements. Notice I said CAN --- the main problem I have is that it is so much fun that I often drive it harder !!!!!

Anthony has always been first rate to deal with !!!!! Thanks,

will you be getting the headers soon? I wouldn't exspect more than 15mpg when you go deeper into it.

doubt that I can install the headers myself in my home garage with just handtools, no hoist, engine lift, etc......limiting factor for me !!!!!!

I think they might be offering cams, but that will require an ecu adjustment, add to that the VRP headers and an intake and maybe some cat delete pipes and your looking at 280hp. they do offer the light weight crank and accesory pully kits which "might" make you a cool 10hp.

if you can overbore the motor up to 3.8L with all the previous goodies your looking at 306hp, as that is what startech's kit make in N/A trim

TVT 250+ adds Crank pulley, underdrive pulleys, colder spark plugs, and ignition wires. Expect about 15HP increase.

So, we are looking at 295 at the crank, not including a CAI.

All I want to know is when jet engines will start to be strapped on in the back??? I know they're not effiecient at low altitudes, but still when your engine is rated in "pounds of thrust" and not horsepower, you know you'll be the coolest kid on the block
