My thanks and appreciation to all that have participated in this thread. I feel I have received the answers I was looking for and hope I didn't ruffle too many feathers along the way. Time to get to work on my project, and if not too embarassed by the outcome, will post some pics. Thanks to all, especially the legalese from Sacramento. Thanks for the expertise, suggestions, personal experiences and comments.

I would like to know a NO BS reasoning why the filters mounted in front of the radiator with "Shower Caps" will not have roadworthy results in varied weather conditions.
What will the air flow effects be utlizing the OEM engine cover and Air Boxes with the original or K&N filters removed and filters placed in front of the radiator?

Honestly, Being that is my car, I lowered my airhorns to the bottom of the opening to get more air to the radiator. Anyway, Since I put that in, I drove to VA from TX twice, to New Orleans countless times, and KY twice. I am in KY now. My temp has never gone up beyond normal and in fact ran a little cooler on the highway. I have ran through pouring rain and have never had any issues. If I am going on a long trip, I will usually put the lower piece of the car bra on and take it off when I reach my destination. It's all up to you though. JMO

The short tube duals look more asthetically pleasing except that they are on the engine side of the radiator, thus are full of hot air. There are several dual COLD AIR INTAKES in front of the radiator which appear to be fully efficient and functional, HOWEVER, K&N, NeedsWings and TVT all denounce these from highway/road use.

These pictures are from two different cars and two differnt members. Top picture is from copycat, bottom pic is from Borican, You would have to contact them for materials used.

Well after turning back to back runs of 12.1 @ 114 mph at the track Sunday without any cooling mods, besides the grille being off, I'm sticking with my short ram. It's been true to me! LOL!

Borican, could you give me a list of the materials you used to make your intake? Probably the best looking intake I have found yet.
Also How much of a diference in performance you think there will be from your set up and the adapted stock set-up on post #16
I want to make a intake that goes in front of the rad but i would like to keep my MB cover.

Skyshadow, if I'm not mistaken, some of those pieces have Spectre trademarks on them, particularly the connection pieces. The item I want to find is the Y on the FI MAF. by the way, I drove the red coupe to the GTG at Pops

FTroopChief, having the CAI filter in front of the radiator doesn't pose a problem concerning water getting into the intake. The only way you would have a problem is if you immersed the front end, sucking a slug of water into the engine. The stock intake draws some water in, as well.
