Default Borla exhaust

So I've had mine for a while now, and I'm planning to get the needswings CAI soon. I figured I'd head over to a dyno this weekend and check what just the Borla is doing for me, before I install the intake. I'll also try to remember to get a good sound clip, no promises tho

I'll post the results here. Probably going this Saturday, I think I found a place... but does anybody know for sure a good place near Dallas, or Plano specifically, where I can run a dyno test?

Try fith gear motorsports in Lewisville. If they don't have a dyno they will know who does. Let me know where you end up. I may want to show up if you don't mind.

I'll give them a call tomorrow. I know Cobb Tuning in Plano has an awd dyno, dunno if you can use rwd on it tho. I'll let you know where I end up. I'm hoping to go on Friday if there is time. Otherwise I'll go on Saturday.

Also, post what type of dyno you ran on. Some dynos run high and some run low.

one of my friends just told me about a place at the Bush and either Preston or Coit, I forget which... anyway it's right across the street from Central Market if that helps... I know where it is I just forget which street he's having his ecu in his jetta GLI tuned there, and he says they have a dyno I can use... i'm still going to call around for pricing tho. they're probably all pretty close in price tho.

I called 5th Gear today, they don't have a dyno. If you want me to come to lewisville, there is a place called Real Performance Motorsports (RPM) of Lewisville that 5th gear knew had a dyno. When I called, they were very short with me and didn't want to help me much... but they did tell me $60 for 3 pulls.

I called Cobb in Plano, they have a 4wd dyno, and they run 2wd cars on it in 4wd mode to get more accurate readings. $65 for 3 pulls. They were much nicer and more helpful than RPM over the phone, but whatever.

Looks like the other places around here charge more. The place my friend told me about was called Autoscope. They charge $100 tho, so I'm not to interested there...

Lantana, you got a preference?

Up to you. I thought there was an issue about dynoing these cars because of the traction control or something? Maybe the four wheel drive dyno addresses this?

he got a video that he said he would put up for me, but ^^there is the link to a picture of my car on the dyno

188 torque and 180 ponies at the wheel on a Mustang dyno. the guy did a little calculation for me and estimated around 225-230 at the crank
