Browsing the photo galleries several months ago, I came across someone that just had a custom muffler installed. It had 4 tips coming out of the car but can't remember how it was configured. Anyone recall the owner of this car, or links to the pics? I have looked and looked and can't find it. I wanted a second look to decide how to go on a new system.

Well, here is a well-engineered example from Deiter Weiß, you may have seen his systems (DW-Technik) on YouTube...

Above is the quad-tip example. They have a few other tip configurations, but either way, the exhaust is super expensive... $1,200 rings a bell.

There's another cat on YouTube who made his own... and to me, it sounds far too raspy but to each his own.

The black one would be way loud for me. I love the look of the pipes on the white one. I need to see how that was configured.

James, I checked his gallery and he just indicates a muffler. I know the DW-Technik exhaust is not a full system, simply a muffler with the tips pre-installed. Looks to be the same one, at a glance.

 

I'm not crazy about the look.

 

Agreed, I think it's a touch busy. But... to each his own. Personally, I would rather go a route like woody (UK) did, and have a single tip custom made to the width of the rear opening... Kinda like a Murcielago, just not as cavernous.

The sound is a bit too much, I'm sure my neighbors would be banging on my door when I keep waking them up every morning.

Still I wonder what it would look like with accent fascia panels and four stock tips; naturally the fascia would have to be modified a bit.
