Default Change Oil Ding will not stay reset

evidently after having the oil changed & the alarm reset, it keeps popping up dinging, what is up with that, anything I can do to fix this

well evidently since this is the very first time I have posted & don't know where to post my question properly I am in the wrong area & evidently you don't know about the oil change ding, I will excuse myself from here

oil alarm, is that new?....we should MEET here and discuss it.....mine doesn't make any noise, just pops up...guess I should reset it again....and see if will talk to me....I'll MEET you back here when I find out...

I have moved your post to the correct section and don't worry about the section it was posted in.
It takes awhile to figure out the forum structure.
As for a alarm I have never heard of this and don't believe it is related to oil in any way.
You guys be nice please.....LOL

I do apologize GT for coming across as I did. Welcome to a great forum with a ton of information available. Your alarm question was just a strange one as our cars (at least in the US) do not have alarms for the oil change, only the FSS display. Where are you from? Maybe the euro cars have something different.

Again, sorry for the rough start. Give us a little more info and we will surely try to help you get the maximum enjoyment out of your car.

is the ding alarm just the seatbelt alarm?, how do you reset the alarm, mines stating im 2000 mile overdue but i dont know how to change it, i normally put my seatbelt on at the end of the street so that could my "ding" alarm

I have asked the same thing, about reseting it, the answer is on the forum somewhere, but I couldn't get it to work. It sounded easy though. Good luck and if you figure it out, let me know how. chris
