Smile New Owner from Ohio

Long time lurker, new owner of an '04 Crossfire Limited. Just bought it today at work! Got a great deal on it. Needs some interior work (broken door handle, saggy headliner, and the ashtray won't stay shut) but is in great running condition. Worked into my deal a new set of tires and an oil change. Mileage is right at 100,000. Happy to join and look forward to contributing! I'll post up some pics when they finish uploading to my google account.

Greetings, and congrats on your purchase. Sounds like your car has some of the very common maladies shared on this Forum, no big deal. With 100k it isn't even 1/2 way broke in. Just curious, are you in the car business? Since you said you bought it at work.

Yes, I work for the Beavercreek, Ohio Germain stores, Ford and Honda. I take the pics you see on autotrader, cars.com, and so on. Just started the position recently but I've worked for the company for a couple years. Started as a Lot-Tec cleaning cars and maintaining the new and used inventory for both stores.

When the Crossfire came out I was 17, I fell in love with it. Never had a chance to own one til now. We had a gentleman trade one in that needed some cosmetic TLC, headliner, broken drivers side door handle, ashtray won't stay shut, and so on, but runs and drives as good as one can expect an 11 year old car with 100,000 miles. LOL

Here's the car, Ruby Red i believe? Hasn't had a detail yet and it's in service getting a new Set of Cooper RS3-S tires.

Looks pretty good for 100,000 miles, enjoy! I have seen some posts on other ways to fix the ash tray.

Welcome to the Forum,
You may be interested in the local runs we do occasionally, There's at least 7 or 8 of us (probably more) going to the KY Speedway in Sept sometime. Keep an eye on the forum for Cincinnati / Northern KY for updates.
Thanks, Ken

You all have beautiful cars. I'm documenting my cars' progress from start to finish. Doing my 100k service as I type this (Fluid flushes and exchanges, filter changes, tune up), and I'm thinking about a couple tasteful upgrades like the K&N filters, upgraded stereo and speakers, and a muffler delete.

Before you spend big bucks for a new stereo system, click on the link below and read the initial thread and other posts attesting to the $1.00 investment that will change the performance of the speakers that came with your car.
Just my 2 cents....

Thanks for the heads up, my biggest thing is using bluetooth while driving and streaming music.

Welcome aboard, as Southernscrew said keep an eye on that Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky forum. It would be great to add another enthusiast to our get togethers.
