Base/Limited Exhaust Poll

This has been beaten to death, but we've been doing some very impressive things with exhausts lately and it's time to offer the Crossfires a mail order exhaust.
Here are the options:
Here are the options:
- T304 (Lifetime Rust Free) or T409 (5 yr guarantee, used on most exhausts available)
- V-Bands or Slip Fit Clamps
- Dual Mufflers or Dual In Dual Out Muffler
- Tips
- Race Cats or Straight Pipes or Options
- Price
I would like a system that has a nice sound, with NO DRONE in the interior. Stock tips are my fav, but the larger ovals are good also to fill the space.

I know what everyone wants, nice sound, no drone, that's obvoius. But I need to know where the budget stands and what options can not be left out. Going from T304 to T409 saves about 40%. Same with not using V-bands.
I do not think the T409 would be bad because most owners keep their cars so clean, I am sure the 5 year guarantee is with normal wear and tear, and with 40% less cost, you could buy a new one in 10 years if you really wanted to...

4 Things I need before I buy an exhaust
1. Price - would need to be under $500
2. Sound - low muscle car gurgle on idle and not much drone when driving 65
3. Fitment - needs to bolt on directly (I had an invidia exhaust on my eclipse GT and it went on in about 10 min with no modifications - and sounded amazing)
4. Look/Performance - Look as stock as possible and some performance gain is important

4. Look/Performance - Look as stock as possible and some performance gain is important With a Full Dual set-up you may gain 10 HP on the Base/Limited, and that's being generous. Just not much to be had in the way of perf gains.

A cat back exhaust sounds like a great plan. I personally cant justify doubling the price for a full exhaust with no real performance gain. I would rather put that money to an ECU tune or CAI. I am sure there are a lot of people that can relate to that. From what I have seen on the forum only the Magnaflow catback is available for the base/limited crossfires.
I vote for the catback.
If all I'm going to get is an extra 10 ponies with a complete system which looks like it's gonna cost some serious $$$, then I'd rather drop a few hundred on a catback and gain 3-4hp(?), and at that price go for the T409 and replace if/when necessary.
However, I'm only one customer.
As we've seen from the past...
If TVT will build it, then we will buy it.
Keep up the good work Anthony.

If we keep the same basic design with a better flow and different muffler, we can offer a very affordable bolt on system that will drastically change the attitude of your car.
We'll aim for <$500.00, T409, 2.5", Polished Tips, and Single Muffler.
Good?

What about a bolt on rear cat delete, and resonator delete, just incase we need to go back to stock. I'm not to worried about drone, it can't be worse than my 97 cobra with dumped flowmasters and no cats. God I miss that sound!!!

It's so easy to install you don't even need any tools, or parts for that matter.
Rear cat delete is not a bolt on afair. They are welded in and one is flanged right at the end of one and the other all the way by the manis. At that point, a new exhaust is easy to fab.
Requirements for selling a successful exhaust setup (mid-pipe and cat-back):
1. Under $1000 for mid-pipe and cat-back. (preferably within the $750 to $800 range, to keep it comparable against competitors for other makes and models)
2. High flow cats (for passing emissions) and mandrel bent piping (for increased flow) T409 (for rust prevention yet still lower cost)
3. True Dual Exhaust (for increased flow) with dual-in/dual-out muffler (for lower cost) or dual mufflers (higher cost but increased flow)
4. X-pipe or H-pipe (for increased scavenging effect) with 02 bungs
4. Stock style exhaust tips (not a requirement, we could always cut the others off and weld the stock ones back on
)

I would be happy with just a full replacement exhuast the delees the Cats but uses the stock muffler.
I don't want to draw more attention from the cops than I already do, the stock NA exhaust is restrictive. Something that can be bolted up to a simple header would be cool.
so just give me a header back to the muffler, I'll take cheap steel or SS. my budjet would be $300 for steel and $499 for cheap SS
Also there is no real need for dual exhaust it just adds more weight to the car.

for $500 I want something I can use at a race track that I know will make power. Build an Offroad Catless system if you want my money. otherwise the market is covered...
