Default P0171

I got my first code and did a little research to the P0171 code and found little help. Engine running lean on bank 1...I changed my fuel filter and the fuel pressure is good (about 55-60). Air filters are good and I also looked at my MAF sensor which looked fine. My car is idling rough and upon acceleration is hesitates pretty bad sometimes. Does anyone have a clue to what may be causing this?

This link may help.

Sounds like you may have a vacuum leak.

Hop over to the mbworld forums and check out how many instances of MAF issues threw the fuel trim codes. I had the same issue w/ my engine. replaced the MAF and all my codes went away. The MAF is very finicky Dont buy from ebay either, there is some vw knock off that will cause even more issues.
