Default 0w-30???

Im about to get the oil changed on my '05 XF N/A. The price of Mobil1 0W-40 is pretty steep where I live. I was just wondering if 0W-30 would cause any major problems. I've heard 0-40 is specific for hot climates and racing conditions (neither of which apply to me).

Would not go lighter than 0W-40- you might get lifter ticking.
5w-40 would be better than 0W-30
IMO.
