Default Srt6 Lash Adjusters

Hi ya all from accross the pond , i have the dreaded ticking noise like so many others have had and take it some still do. It would seem that first step would be to change the adjusters of which ive been onto the dealer and thery are quite reasonable to buy a full set , so am thinking of doing it.
I have seen a posting on here before by one of the members saying that he was able to change his in a 1 1/2 hours but am unable to fine the posting again to ask him directly how to do is.
So here i am , any of you know what is involved and easiest way to change them. Also do you need to put a new set of lock washers in at the same time and and torque figures would be appreciated.
My viehcle is out of warranty and is a 2006 SRT6 Roadster .

Thank all

Roody

The procedure is found in here:

This is the service manual for the SRT-6.

Enjoy,

Well they are hydraulic so unless one has completely failed they might just need to be rebled.

Well, if an adjuster is loosing its prime every time the car is shut down, you can't really re-bleed them, you are much better off fully replacing them.

If they never pump up in the first place, and is always making noise, its going to need to be replaced.

Now if the oil line that feeds them is blocked, then that's an entirely different issue, and needs to be sorted out first.

It all depends on what his car's needs are, and he's the best person to determine the needs.
