Have not looked at the Crossfires - but on other cars, either unbolt the bracket from the car and remove rubber piece when off the car. A spray bottle with soapy water works wonders. WD-40 also works but you have to wash it off. Use the soapy water during re-installation as well in needed.

Great thanks for the tips fellas. After getting it all together I'm extremely happy with the results and I love the sound it gives! Considering this was my first change to do on any car I think it went pretty well.

I do have another question though; the magnaflow exhaust doesn't hang very well on those rubber rings. Any recommendations on what else I could use?

Need to use the rubber mounts.
Sometimes if it is out of whack you may need to remove and bend the mounting hooks a bit. They are not always in the right position or get bent during shipping.

I found the magnaflow was designed with a flaw with the right hanger post; it doesn't have a bend in it to stay in the rubber grommet. Mine actually slipped out and once I finally got down there I found the problem.

I took mine in and the shop heated up the end and put a bend in it and it seems to be holding well. Some have suggested using zip ties to hold pull the left and right grommet's together and that will also help. I haven't gotten to that point, but it does make sense.

Cool guys thanks, my neighbor had some zip ties so I doubled up on those and that seems to be doing the trick

Kill the zip ties, they melt. Use a stainless steel hose clamps. They come in all sizes at Lowes. Mine have lasted a year and lots of events and races.

To do the rubber thingy, I made a tool with a coat hanger, ran it thru and pulled on the rubber with both ends. Then I had windex handy and used it instead of soap.
