TVT Cold Air Intake vs Needwings vs TVT Ultimate Intake vs Needwings Dual CAI
So I have some money set aside to upgrade the crossfire and I am looking at the different options to upgrade the air induction on my Crossfire. The obvious direction is a CAI. With that and based on the previous post regarding TVT vs Needwings. I have a budget around $600 I can work with, maybe a little more.
Option A) TVT CAI- Least expensive provides similar HP gains as Needwings per most users.
Option B) NeedsWings CAI- Very attractive product with ability to be powder coated. Flows great and the other members appear to be very pleased
Option C) TVT Ultimate- 3" CAI plus 74 mm Throttle body--CAI plus a bigger throttle body means more air faster, which equals a higher HP output.... may be the best HP to dollar ratio
Option D) NeedsWings Dual CAI-- Possibly the best looking CAI and nets a huge air flow bump, which equates in power, but the most expensive
If one is looking to maximize the HP gain and not near as concerned about the engine bay, its not too hard to get a 320 Mercedes Box and cut to fit, right....
What option will net the best horsepower gain? Ideas or suggestions as a SRT is not a viable option

THE 2 best options are;
1. Needswings Dual CAI
2. SL55 intake with K&N filters.
Third choice would be the NW Single CAI.
You can DIY a single or dual CAI for less, but the above are proven performers. You will get LOTS of opinions on this subject.....

I agree with doc. on the Needswings Intake. It looks amazing and there are no problems. I also like the matte finish more than all the chrome from TVT, but thats just me.
I think for an N/A the single NW intake is enough, the dual I think is an overkill. But do as you wish. Just my 2 cents,

At 600 for an intake, I know what I'm doing as soon as I get my tig welder setup next month... Thats pure profit (for the most part, about a 30-40% margin) lol
In regard to the SL 55 intake. What steps are needed to fit it to the NA. I have found the post on Benzwworld about this mod. Is this pure plug and play joy?
Thinking the TVT or the SL intake set up with the sprint booster sounds like a mighty fun combination.

After emailing Rob I am impressed with his support. I have ordered the single CAI and will be doing the install once it arrives.
I also did the ole ebay search looking at HID kits. It appeared that they were all from the same company with different stickers. So I ordered a set and set the seller a PM requesting H7 at 4300K.
Here is the link, I could pass for the price. Hopefully not passing on the price doesn't come back to haunt me.

Thanks to Infinite, I missed posting the link
