Default Scared, could possibly have a radiator problem

So I turned on my car this morning, car started fine, and to my surprise the Low Coolant Indicator light would not go off and suddenly the radiator fan starts up. I waited but nothing happened so I drove to class to see if my cars temperature gets hot. The cars temp reads perfectly fine and after class I picked up a bottle of Peak Antifreeze and topped off my coolant reservoir and nothin happed, I still have the same problem. The car runs and works fine but the radiator fan won't go off and the Low Coolant Indicator light stays on. Does anybody know whats going on?

Peak Anti-freeze? is that compatible with what's in there already?

Haha not sure, I assumed. It said mix with any coolant, but my coolant reservoir was almost full anyways. I probably added like a cup of Peak.

I dont believe the Peak coolant meets the spec..... since it appears your fan is working and the temp gauge is reading good, it could be the sensor on the bottom of the surge tank...

Where is the surge tank? Is this a major problem?

My guess is the fan control module is at fault.
Do a search on it.

The antifreeze is not going to gell or mess up, they are similar, I went to prestone, it all good. The factory tries to push their stuff for the $. Do a search on antifreeze and you learn volumes.

Took it to a shop and turns out a wire was cut (how I don't know). They resoldered the wire back together and that shut off the fan and the light went out. Weird...

Haha for sure. I have circled the wire in red in the pictures. The wire is gray. There is normally a cluster of wires in that location and he said that the wire was simply cut, as if someone had cut it. Took them a while to figure it out. Anyway he reconnected it and the Low Coolant Indicator Light went off and the radiator fan turned off. Pics attached!
