I haven't checked my heat exchanger level for a few months so I'll do it and report back later.
I have a Needswings catch can installed for over a year. When I installed it I didn't see any crud in the manifolds.

Then I would say you have a problem Les...

Houston, Les has a problem ...... I repeat Houston, Les has a problem. Should I activate the landing sequence or give your engineers a crack at the problem. Houston ..... are you there? Houston, we have contact with the green alien substance. How would you like to proceed, live and let live or extermination. Please confirm Houston.

Hope everything is alright Les. It's just an IC leak, no need to go crazy just yet.

Try Holts RadWeld. It has worked for me in 3 years.
My whole intake manifold was clogged with 1 cm slime.

Rudy didn't answer my PM! The leak is minor so I decided not to get in too big a hurry. I'd love to get a new one, and most likely will, and from Rudy if possible. It may be costing me some power but I don't see it hurting anything in the short run. When the time comes I plan on doing some porting at the same time. I mean, if it all has to come off, it's a no brainer. I'm hitting the books and finding all the tools so I can do it myself. Well, if the business improves I'll pay an expert but things still look grim in my neck of the woods. So DIY rules!

I went to top off my supercooler today and guess what. It was full! Every distilled drop I tried to put in ended up on the ground. Now I'm wondering where that crud came from. I have a Needswings catch can, and it's working BTW. Not huge amounts of oil is collected but always some. When I cleaned the filters I oiled them pretty heavily but???? The throttle body was clean. Now I don't think it's the intercooler. Who can solve the riddle?

You need to pressure test it. It may be such a small hole that under normal circumstances it doesn't leak but remember that our cooling system is pressurized so test it at 10psi and then report back. Easiest way to do this is take the IC and fill it with water mixed with red food coloring and then put a white paper towel in the openings. Set it so the coolant inlet and outlet are facing up and the paper towel in the bottom where it connects to the Y-pipe. test it with 10psi for 24 hours and if the rag is red, you know definitvely that your core is leaking. If it's not, then perhaps it's just blow-by.

Good luck

I separated the cooling system from the intercooler a year ago. My thinking is it was leaking while stock but now that it's separated from the pressure perhaps I'm OK. I'll pull the Y-pipe again after another 1000 miles and decide whether to disassemble the system and test it based on what it contains.
