Default Engine Diagnosis

Okay guys, I'm not a mortor head but will try to explain my engine problem. Wife's car came home knocking, upon looing under hood there is a round part trun by belt that is just above and to the right
of the alternator. It is out out of line and knocking, dirty brown liquid in pan below engine which does not appear to be straight oil. Is this the water pump that has gone bad? Need some help?

Take a picture and post it for us to see.

When was the last time the car had its oil and filter changed?
Was it recently?

If it was recent, then you might want to check to see if the oil filter cover was screwed back on tight enough, because if it isn't, and the oil starts leaking out, it will make the serpentine belt slip off of the pulleys.

Engine diagnosis using two basic tests that can determine the health of your engine. Diagnosing an engine problem requires that a person checks the spark plug wires, their vacuum lines, the car battery.

Nothing.

He's one of those people that creates posts on all sorts of different forums, and posts links in their signatures that then take you to some website that installs malware or spyware on your computer.

You can spot them easily, with the low post count, a link for a signature, and a bunch of gibberish in their posts that have nothing to do with the thread being discussed.

I wonder how much money they actually make off of their scams?
