Default Anodized Aluminum?

What parts of our engine & transmission are anodized aluminium, if any? In particular would the tranny pan be anodized? My guess is no. The reason I'm asking is I have an Infared Temp Gauge and I want to set the emissivity value. thanks.......

I dont believe any of it is anodized.... (could be wrong. I was once before)

My infrared thermometer seems to work on everything I point it at.....

TRANSMISSION HOUSING

The converter housing and transmission are made from a light alloy. These are bolted together and centered via the

outer multi-disc carrier of multi-disc holding clutch, B1 (4). A coated intermediate plate provides the sealing. The oil
pump (2) and the outer multi-disc carrier of the multi-disc holding clutch, B1 (4), are bolted to the converter housing.
The stator shaft (19) is pressed into it and prevented from rotating by splines. The electrohydraulic control unit (16)
is bolted to the transmission housing from underneath. A sheet metal steel oil pan forms the closure.

Anodizing costs money, anodizing large parts cost more money, so no.
You can see the white powder forming which it would not do so readily if anodized.
Engine pan is steel as well, a die cast pan is easily damaged and costs more.

No it is not in the car. But it is all in a bag hanging from a hook by the door.

The I am going to go work on the car in a few minuets so that I will be able to drive it there tomorrow. Right now it is on a jack stand with no spring, shock or brake pads... If anyone has heard my brakes this past year, they squeal very badly. I am in the process of getting rid of that noise. And while I was in there out came the spring and shock...

Nothing like waiting till 12 hours before I am going to attend a crossfire gtg to do some work on the car

Sounds too familiar....oh yeah last year at the Liverpool meet you worked all night painting and attaching the front chin spoiler. When you arrived at the show the silicone was still tacky and you took the masking tape off holding the thing in place just in time to take the Third place plaque. Of course that was long before the V8 implant so no third place in your future.
