Default Gaskets still leaking Going in again.

A small almost imperceptable valve cover gasket leak. It has persisted since the rebuild last summer.

Never saw any significant oil but caught a wiff, with the top down, just once too often.

Breather caps first and now the main gasket on the valve cover at the head. I really hate taking apart the original factory build. Seems..., I guess, once you take these sixes apart they don't go back together all that easy.

Should be done tonite. We'll know tommorow if the duct tape and plumber's putty works.

I haven't done the greasy wrenching on my car that much. But some threads here about it gave me courage. It really wasn't that big a deal. Took it apart yesterday and ordered gaskets.

They went in fine tonite. So far no problems. No left over parts or missing tools either. Always a good sign.

A good hard run tommorrow and then again next week should tell me whether on not I should stay out of the engine bay while holding any implements in my hands.

So the ones that fall on the floor don't count as missing? Spark pugs and wires for me to tackle next month, that's no problem for me though.
