Default SRT air cleaner on NA

Never saw this done before. Are the SRT filters larger than NA?

Yes. They are. And the housings are freer-flowing too.

Maybe its me, but I do not like the look.

When there is a nice blower to look at, its cool, but that black car above IMHO looks worse than the stock box and miles worse than the Merc setup

^^^ This.

There are times (when I'm doing felonious speeds and wishing for every last HP) that I second-guess my Mercedes air box. But, once the cars are parked and the hoods are popped, this beauty redeems itself.

I was under the impression that the SRT and the Limited used the same filters? I could verify this easily enough -- Steve has at least two sets of '32 AMG filters (same as SRT) and I have the OEM air box off the car with the paper filters inside.

The filters in the C320 airbox are MUCH larger than the SRT filters. 2" longer and at least 1" wider. Plus, they're K&N so they move a decent amount of air.

Aesthetically, the N/A motor is a homely creature without something on top of it to hide the tangled mess of components and harnesses.

LOL, trying to make the NA motor look good is like trying to put lipstick on Quasimodo.

For some reason I am still going to try the lipstick

Thanks Since one can only make these babies go so fast without a rocket attached I had to find projects to fill my time. It's a work in progress which I'll get back to just as soon as I dry out my Irene soaked basement and cart the contents to the dump.
