Default Plugs and Wires install, need help

So I just got a battery, plugs and wires from needswings. I got the first 2 plugs switched out but when trying to connect the wires I ran into a problem. The boots will slide onto the coil pack but won't stay on. I do not hear or feel a click, it seems like the boots are too short to fit the coil pack. Any ideas?

I just went through this. You have to kinda fold the boot back onto itself exposing the connector. I had to hold the connector back where it's crimped to the wire with needle nose pliers then push the boot back so it goes inside out kinda. Then you can use the needle nose pliers to center the connector in the coil pack and get them to click in. Then you just "unroll" the boot back over. Took a little while to get a procedure going.

edit: you need to take the coil packs off the car. Too hard to get at the plugs and plug boots with them bolted down.

I did have the coil packs off, but I will try the fold and unroll method. Thanks for the tip.

Did you put a little dielectric grease on the boots first? I just put new plugs and wires from Needswings this summer and had no problems like you're describing.

I had no problems when putting my new wires on...there was definitely a click when installing the wires. They aren't coming out. At first, I thought they weren't in far enough, but I checked them every day for two weeks and no sign of them coming even a little bit loose.

Mine have a very slight click, but as soon as I let go of the boot it just slides it self right off. I am going to try again next weekend and see if I can get them to stay on.

It says right in the Magnacore instructions NOT to use grease, as it will cause the boots to slip around.

Ok, thanks I will make sure to not use it then. Is there an easy way to roll the boots back? It took me about an hour to roll just 4 and they still like to unroll on there own.
