Foam air intake filter, has any one installed one of these on the throttle body.
Years ago I installed a foam filter atop of the throttle body in a 78 Trans Am and drilled out the shaker hood for air to it. Recently I came across this filter and would like any thoughts on installing it on my N/A Crossfire.
I would remove all parts of the intake filter, but would have some warmer air due to collection of heat from the engine compartment.

It's been done and there is a pic of it on the forum. Why would you want a hot air intake?

Well of course I wouldn't want hot air or to cut any holes, but get the air in with less restriction for quicker response.
it was called a c3 filter. buggin runs the unit on his 32 with very good results. i built a bigger version for about 20$ your welcome to it if you want it.

Do some research before you do that....plenty, and mean plenty of discussions about "Ram" air, cold air vs hot air....you will make the right choice after some research, but don't think what you are looking at is the any better than stock, with some nice K&N's....good luck....
