Default Megan M-RS sound clip

Hey guys,
Finally got around to taking this video of Megan M-RS exhaust on my car. Had it for about 6 months now with no problems. Sound is nice and deep with a bit of rasp. Good built quality so far as well. Imho it's a great result for the price (besides all the trouble I had with Meineke with the installation). It gave the car that deep growl that was missing )))))))))
I hope this helps someone trying to decide on getting one

Sounds great! I love mine, The MR-S just gives it the perfect tone.

I've been giving this muffler some heavy consideration on my SRT... I loved how it sounded on Howard's roadster.

If you do get it John, dont be alarmed at first. Its loud and obnoxious for the first couple hundred miles. It mellows out alot and just sounds mean .... I bet on a SRT it would be amazing

It sounds a lot deeper in person and Josh is right- it does get a bit quiter after you put some mileage on it. Im actually considering gutting out resonator but still very uncertain there since I haven't seen a crossfire without it in person.

Right now I'm looking at two options for exhaust:
  • Megan RS, rear cat delete w/ X pipe, leave resonator in place
  • OEM muffler, rear cat delete w/ X pipe, remove resonator
Both options are on hold until the headers get released, as I have no clue what that's going to do to the exhaust note.

If you have a Limited, you don't have a resonator like the SRT version does... unless you're referring to the muffler's body as a 'resonator'.

I have been thinking about this, I think I want to buy high flow cats as back ups, and gut the current ones. It wouldnt be for a while though if I do it.

Well that makes it an easy decision lol Thank you for clarifying that John! I was sure our setup was similar to srt's. Explains why I never seen one

I was suprised at how much quieter it got... At first it would overbear the stereo at any volume, now its deeper and not nearly as overbearing.

Only negative (if you can blame that on a muffler) is that it resonates inside trim panels at about 2000k rpm and makes them vibrate. Nothing too annoying but noticable.

The dreaded drone lol. I agree at that being the only negative (minor at that), I just turn my stereo up and tune it out.

Same here Josh I might use dynamat on door panels when I do the speaker swap in a few weeks. We'll see if that helps
