bouncing between gears? '05 auto ltd cpe
so i figure my transmission was shifting hard when applying gas from a red light into a slow left turn due to BALD tires in the rear. also i think the bald tires on rear was making it shift into larger gears too soon which would make it bounce between 3 and 4 im assuming. i got new nice tires on the rear and did a throttle body reset to see if i can get my car out of its funky shifting mode. im assuming it will take around a 100 mile trip or so.
if the new tires will not stop the bouncing gears where should i start narrowing down possibilities? i read somewhere the top three main issues with our trans. (auto) is valve pressure regulator spring,speed/rpm sensor on conductor plate, and the 13 prong connector.
i have 118k on the clock and im thinking about replacing the driveshaft rubbers and the above three parts mentioned for the transmission. i know its the nature of the beast for fickle gear shifting but i doubt its normal to be bouncing from gear to gear like that as often as it does.
the only thing i have done to the engine is the baffle/breather gaskets, valve cover gasket, a new maf and a new crank p.s., the transmission has had two services done on it within the five years i have had it. i baby this more than my own self, also there is a noise i cant seem to identify/place. sounds like a bad bearing/pulley coming from in front or above the engine from a cold start. if its normal im going to let it ride but i doubt that its normal. do engines develop more noises with age? its not lifters.
