Hey Guys,

So i needed to get my emissions done on my 2004 crossfire. I went to go get it done but my engine light was on and had the code read and got PO161- Bank 2, Sensor 2. I did some research and am trying to get this fixed so that i can get my emissions done and so i can drive my car. I am having a few problems tho. I know that it is one of the of the downstream but what i dont know is if it is the Passenger side or Driver side, and then also i need some clairfication alot of ppl have it listed as right side and left side is right side driver and left side passenger? Reason i need to know is im a student and dont really wanna pay for both the downstream and would just like to get the one for now. THANK YOU GUYS.

 

Bank 2 is drivers left, left is from where you sit behind the wheel in driving position.

 

Thank you for the information, and so just to make sure i understand this would be the correct part then for bank2,sensor2 --- Left down-stream sensor (located after catalytic converter)

Remember to disconnect the battery after clearing the codes or the ECU will throw that code again after it cycles through all the monitor checks. Then you need to look at the old sensor for signs of burnt catalytic converter material. My sensor went at about 135000 miles and 1200 miles later the front cat fell apart.
