As I have said many times, I certainly hope you prove me wrong, but determination won't pay the mortgage, and since you have kids, you know exactly what I am talking about, sometimes life throws a monkey wrench.

HDDP had the determination and the funding and got his project done and tracked the car for a few years, he was roughly 3x his intended budget and he had a pretty realistic number to start, so even with determination and knowledge, there are sometimes things involved with reengineering an over-engineered car that you simply can not do in your garage.

Get the V8/6 speed running, then we can talk FI all you want

Lmao, I hope that was sarcastic. There's a little bit of a difference between miata's and Merc's lol.

True John, life is very unpredictable. The other thing about HDDP is the mods he made to the car, and the fact that he used an aftermarket ECU. It could have been done with a stock unit.

And on the last part, just wait! I feel it coming lol. We should have something to work with this weekend. It depends on a new order coming in. As far as FI... There is already a better starting point for it because it takes our key. If you use an SRT ECU then it's even one more step closer because it came in a crossfire (for module mating).

Thanks. I see 'FI' on a sticker on a lot of cars and it just means 'Fuel Injection'

I'd think 'boosted' is a more descriptive term than FI, but that's just my 2 cents.
( and you would avoid stupid questions from idiots like me )

Ive seen stickers like that too lol. It's pretty funny on newer cars that have FI or EFI on them when every car has been fuel injected for how long now? lol
