thanks for help. sometimes the gauge jumps around. sometimes it jumps down to 16.9. but goes right back to 14.7-15.0. when opened full throttle the gauge doesnt go down to green sometimes it stays or jumps up higher. i have not saw the gauge in 12s and 13s
If the gauge is connected to a wideband o2 sensor (not the factory narrow band sensors) you should see a reading in the 11's or 12's in open loop (when it's floored or borderline). AFR's at 13 and above are very dangerous for the engine in open loop.
grip grip . i hope i got this right. 14.7 when im cruising is ok but when i open the car up the gauge should go to 11's and 12's.and then go back 14.7. do you know how i can fix this. can i take to chrysler or mercedes dealer and they can fix it.
grip grip. i just took my crossfire on test drive to confirm. I was cruising on hwy at 60 mph apr gauge was 14.9 and punched it my boost gauge went up to 16 psi and the afr read 14.8 and stayed there going the whole thing
14.8 is running to lean to be going WOT. How old is your sensor.. maybe its time to replace it but considering its reading correctly during normal driving I would assume a boost leak or maybe your fuel filter could be clogged or pump could be on its way out. Just throwing things out there.
thanks. i dont know how long the gauge has been on the car I bought the car used. I will get ahold of the previous owner tomorrow. I was just wondering can the dealership hook the car up to computer and fix the car. I only have a year warranty and I dont want to damage the motor. since the car is under warranty I wonder is best to take to mercedes dealership than chrysler. I would like to know what can fix the problem so I can tell the dealership. I live in KY and no one knows about these cars.
code 3 pulleys, needwings dual air intake, oil catch, exhaust with muffler eliminated, inmotion, Teflon Coated Y-Pipe. I brought the car used. a fellow member bmaynard06 owned the car previously and did the mods. he sold it to someone else. i brought from a dealership.
i did some resource and seems like others have had the same problems. they said the sensor needs to replaced. here's what it does. the turn the key from acc without cranking engine. the gauge displays all types of numbers starts on the green goes to the red fastly like the gauge is starting up. the reading goes 14.8 and stays for a long time say 15 minutes. then the gauge will read lean start 15.0 then (---). jump back and forward then goes back to 14.8. the gauge does not move when cruising, fully throttle, etc. I DO APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!! THANKS
