Default exhaust replacement

hi guys n girls need advice have found great guys down here in Plymouth called 100 percent stainless they have agreed to modify my rear end or complete exhaust in s/steel whats the best way to modify for the growl sound? do I just remove rear muffler put strait pipes and replace original rear end> please give advice on lengths of pipe/ diagrams /sizes/ lengths etc you guys are the experts so come on get those xfire brains goin All the best to all members

Be careful what you do or you could be exchanging the drone of your ex for the drone of the new exhaust.

NICE ONE 180 HEY THE MONEY IVE SAVED SINCE SHE WENT THINKING BOUT RUNNING A CONVERTIBLE AS WELL WINTER AND SUMMER MOTORING LOL

I would keep the diameter the same, x-pipe where the current 2 meets to 1 and run dual back after the X. I would keep a muffler but delete the rear cat's if you don't have to worry about smog inspection.

cheers is there any links that show diag or drawing/photo so I can show these guys as this is not there usual field of work amazing stainless work!! they make anything but not car nuts like us so need to explain it in simplified idea so they get it right thanks for your help regards phil

I think the NA exhaust is 2.25". Not sure on the SRT. I would leave it stock size.

Delete rear cats.

Then do something like this thread mentions, but smoother where the current exhaust goes from 2 into 1 already, so that you're then running true dual back along the same path as the stock 1 is. I would also try and smooth it out as much as possible. Get rid of the kinks and bends and such.
