I posted on the other thread. Borla has released it but don't buy direct their price is to high and they don't discount it because of their contracts with distributors. Try Ajusa.com and if you buy something first like air filters they'll give you an extra 10% off usually. That's around $600. free delivery with internet orders.

Talking Re: Borla Yet ?

I have communicated with Jeff at MSC and he is waiting for the specifications on the new "Sport Exhaust" from MOPAR (BORLA).
If MOPAR puts their Pentagram on it we have a DC part on a DC Car!!!
I think that speaks a lot of positive vibes!!!

Call him NOW!!!
http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/borla/d...083&products=1

I have seen a lesser price elsewhere, but they have no stock!! It could be $20.00, but it doesn't matter if they don't have them!!!

When do you plan on installing it? Do you have any way of measuring a before and after HP number?

OK, here is the skinny.
I have a $150.00 Escort Passport G-Timer (IMHO much better than the $250.00 G-Tech Pro that I had before) and logged the following times:
WITH my "Shop Made" Exhaust, STUSA Chip and K&N Filters...1/8th Mile - 9.330 @ 76.00 MPH
WITH Stock Exhaust, STUSA Chip and K&N Filters...1/8th Mile - 9.720 @ 73.00 MPH
DIFFERENCE...1/8th Mile - .390 @ 3.00 MPH
This is the Exhaust I have For Sale, that is a bit too loud for my ears!!

At the local Drag Strip with their $$$ equipment:
WITH Stock Exhaust, STUSA Chip and K&N Filters...1/8th Mile - 9.845 @ 72.45 MPH

Device error...1/8th Mile - .125 @ .55 MPH

Really not bad for the investment.
Like we used to say in the Military...Close enough for Government Work!!!

Joel said I should have the system in next week. As soon as I do I will install it and do some more numbers.
I have a Palm Corder and am going to try to make a movie (If I can figure out how to upload it).
More to come, Ya'll!!!

BORLA Cat-Back has arrived!!! YEAH!!!
It was just delivered (730 PM) and here are the pics, as I promised.
Note two things that are different from what we thought the system was going to be...
Number one...THEY USED OVAL TIPS...NOT the round tips we thought
Number two...the system is a two piece which makes it easier for shipping.
Yes, it comes with a stainless steel clamp also.
There were installation instructions but no specifications. BORLA claims 7-10% for all of their systems.
It will be Saturday before I can put it on, so just hang loose.
Check out my Album for pics!!!

REMEMBER, I have the Pro-Shop made Magnaflow catback for those of you that want more growl (Email me for sound clip)!!!

Question, is the Borla system being sold thru distributors (part #140083) the exact same unit being sold thru Chrysler (part #P4510609) ?

That is yet to be determined! I can't imagine it not being the same.
We will see in a few days/weeks/months!!!

The BORLA is on and the ONLY hard part was getting the two do-nuts connected. Really, it took as long to hook those two rubber hangers back up as it did to do everything else.
Sound??? Just what I wanted...More pronounced than stock, more pronounced than the SRT6!!
In fact, the same sound as my Magnaflow System except at about a third of the volume.
I couldn't wait for the weekend to install it and start to finish @ 1 1/2 hours.
Saturday I need to fine tune the adjustments to get the center and level perfect.
There you are for now.
I'll try to get my G-Tuner back in and get some numbers.

Look sweet, might go that route for my rear half.

Any pics of the car with the new exhaust on?

Tim

Smile Re: Borla Yet ?

Glad to finally see the "real Borla" system. Looks exactly like the one I got on ebay. The tips are different but the resonator, muffler, and pipes are identical. Even down to the sloppy welds. So I kinda think the Borla system I have which "wasn't made by Borla" probably was. "they don't sell prototypes" they just put them in the trash where some ebay seller can pick them up and sell the - Right.
They still need to paint it black. Oval tips do look better.
