Cold air intake
Morning all,
I need to know what intake to look for when buying for the Xfire. I have seen full kits and then kits that attach to the current intake filters on the side of the engine cover.
If the full kit is best, can you re-for the engine cover at all? Anyone got any clear pics or advise please?
Thanks,
Kraig.

There are a few cheaper alternatives out there - you can build your own or you can go on eBay and find something and do some mods. But, for an all in one kit and a performance boost, you probably won't find a better value than NW.
I have not gotten my CAI yet, but I am saving up to get a NW. I trust the majority of the members on here that endorse the NW products, especially for something that you can't get anywhere else (quality/ performance).

How did you add a chirp to your c/l?

Thanks for the pic. Is this yours? Do you also leave the old filters in or remove them? I'm guessing remove.
carl sorry looks pretty but that would be sucking in hot air...heres mine not decided wheather to go with K&N in the airbox or filters behind the grille ala needswings, not expecting any performance gain but maybe a bit more induction noise...chris...goonerkeza take you are an Arsenal fan...likewise here season ticket holder for over 20 years, roll on august..

Yes... the stock filters are removed. I then applied a bead around the edges of the stock boxes to prevent any possible air leak... I have approx 70.00 in this setup...Carl
thanks carl...yes mate, paintwork all done using good old rattle cans, pipework from a friend then a lot of...think twice cut once...
...chris

Love the trims next to exhaust on yours. What you done to them? Think I am going to chrome the plates as well. Induction I am stuck on. The needs wing are the dogs danglies but can I justify the cash, I'm not so sure. I feel out a non named kit your would still produce bhp and a great noise.
Looking at this but worried that it will not have enough cold air....

I could extend the piping to come past the radiator but then not sure if I will have enough room for filters.....

kez the trims next to the exhaust are called rear accent panels or rear facia panels depending who you talk to, the official chrysler ones are now impossible to find but there is a company that makes reproductions in fibreglass..look on page 2
