Default Damaged Leaky Injector

I have had intermittent problems for year and half to two years. I get the P0505 code every so often, and the car runs crappy for a day once every two weeks or so. If it sits for the weekend then Monday it would run crappy until i drove for a bit. I was assuming it was a vacuum leak that i hadnt found yet. So, i was describing my issues with my buddy who is a BMW tech, and without hesitation, he stated that I had a leaky injector. Apparently it is a common problem among certain german vehicles. Due to the external vacuum pump we have, a traditional vacuum leak is harder to detect. Anyway, i was skeptical, but curious if he was right, so i dismantled the intakes and removed the fuel rail with the injectors. The pics below should illustrate what i found. needless to say, I called my buddy to tell him he was correct. Now i must repair the best i can until I can replace.

I have a set of 2005 SRT-6 injectors. If you want a set I'll sell them cheap. I purchased them from Importlab, had them serviced, (Marren) installed them until my 2006 injectors were serviced, removed them and put them back in the plastic bags Marren used. I couldn't tell a difference in performance from my stock ones. I did race with them for a month. Mine were blue and these were black so I put my stockers back after cleaning and service. Just throwing it out there. They're not doing anyone any good sitting in plastic bags in a box in my closet.

I'm "fuzzy/happy" at the moment, don't ask why. I'll post photos and the info sheet from Marren tomorrow morning and send you a PM.

I still haven't found the data sheet, but I will. Here's the injectors.

Im excited to have found a replacement set so quickly. I hadn't even started looking, lol.
You said you had blue ones on your car. What is the difference, as mine are black like yours in the pic. Do they have a different duty cycle, or some such number? Just curious

The blues superseded the blacks. The performance difference, to me anyway, is insignificant if any at all. In hindsight anyway. I saw no difference in performance or AFR's switching between the two.

Here's my thread from 2013. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ctor-best.html
