Default Gurgle

Dear People!

I've a manual n/a '05 crossfire with 56,000 miles on it. This morning, I noticed a gurgling noise coming from what sounded like inside the dash, so it's probably in the engine bay. There was also a periodic knock every few seconds.

I've yet to check the water pump pulley, and was wondering if there were a few other things I could look at before going ahead and getting a new pump (i.e. how to check for air in the system/bleed it,)

Thank you for your help!

If you hear gurgling in your dash it could be the drain for your evaporator that's clogged up.
You can find it by reaching way back into the tranny tunnel while standing on the drivers side with the hood up. You can also see it in the car if you take the floor AC vent off on the drivers side. That will give you an idea were to feel for it in the tunnel

Under the dash cowling there are two more drains for the cowling itself. Those might be clogged to and holding water.

Thank you! It only seems to happen when I have the AC turned on. I didn't run the AC this morning and sound wasn't present. I'll check that out and let you know...
