SRT6 supercharger question
SRT6 supercharger question
Is it normal for the front of the supercharger that spins to have a little play? See the pic. When I grab this and turn it by hand I can hear and feel a little play. Probably about a 1/16" turn play. I don't remember it being that way back when I changed the pulley about 15k miles ago.
I also noticed I'm pretty sure my 65mm eurocharged pulley is the aluminum one

It looks to me that you are holding the electro magnet in which case the answer is there should be very limited play in it, so little as to be unnoticeable. This runs on the SC gearbox shaft bearings and not on the SC pulley bearing.
If you mean the clutch plate moves slightly in relation to the pulley, then I would say the rivets may be loose.

Re: SRT6 supercharger question
I suppose the electro magnet (I didn't know what it was called). Not the supercharger pulley. With the engine off and the belt on the pulley, so it doesn't spin by hand, this is the part behind the pulley that will spin by hand. I can spin it clockwise or counter clockwise probably a 1/16" before I feel it hit and start to spin the gears. There is no bearing noise at idle.
I was just wondering if this is normal or if others have zero play.
