Default No start

Have also posted on the facebook site
All electrical works
Had roadaide assist try a jump, no good.
Can hear selonoid kicking out but won't turn over, guy thought it could be battery in key flob, it is 2+ years old.
Car battery is about the same.
Tomorrow gonna start with with new key flob battery, easiest place to start.
Then???
Help please.
I know that I have seen similar problem here but couldn't find it.
Thanks

I don't think the battery in key fob has anything to do with your issue. Sounding more like the starter motor, or low voltage to the starter.

I hope the engine isn't locked up...

A good battery should have 12.6 volts. Did he load test it for amps? And even with a good battery, you can have a bad connection anywhere in the circuit causing low voltage.

Did the car just quit starting one day with no previous symptoms?
How long before it failed to start had it started previously?
How many miles on the car?
Check out the starter, sometimes the brushes jam in the holders or they have got too short or the starterjust fails.
Check out the cables to the starter, battery terminals that are corroded can allow the flow of low power but fail at higher power.
Likewise the battery can fail inside at calls for higher amperage.

141,000 miles
Stopped at A&W, came out and no start, never any indication of this before
Plan on cleaning and checking all cables tomorrow morning in the light
All the electrical is working, lights, high and low beam, radio, lock/unlock doors

I had something similar once, I forgot to clamp the battery cable after taking it off, it ran for a while but eventually it came too loose, every thing seemed fine except the starter would not get sufficient power as it was sparking at those amps. The car ran fine with a loose clamp but the clamp had come loose enough that the starter would not work after I had switched the car off. Fortunately I found the loose clamp in a short time but I felt like kicking my *** up and down the parking lot.🙄

Update
Pulled battery this morning, purchased Aug. 2017, Interstate battery from O'Reilys.
Cleaned posts and cables, both looked good to begin with.
Ground goes from battery to fender and then ???
Placed battery on charger , meter showed 7.5 drop to 5 after hour.
Taking it to store for them to test
Thanks again for all y6our help

Battery tested out as good as new. They put it on some bench tester that slide it into a drawer, readout showed everything that is posted on the top. Perfect shape.
Did replace the two batteries in the key flob, small cost.
Putting battery back in now then run down the ground cable from the fender condition

For the umpteenth time, the FOB batteries have NOTHING to do with the car starting, or not!!!!

I know that it didn't seem logical that the key flob batteries would have anything to do with no start.
The guy that first came to give me a jump claimed to have seen this problem fixed with the new batteries, something about having to complete the circuit in the anti-theft.
Sounded good to me and was cheap at $7 to try.
Gonna do the extra ground cable mentioned in another post then if needed do the CPS replacement.
Thanks all

Just replaced the RCM recommended by Greg , this one also has had the DJ magic done to it.
Still no start.
I am at my wits end.

You didn't watch Greg's video of starting the car with no batteries in the fob?

Right now I'm wondering if the car would start with a boost jumper on it.. 13+ volts.. Vickie in Texas has one basically playing the same game and can only get it started going that route.. not too good for a run to star bucks..

Did you ever check for a faulty starter?

I thought that Greg's video was to show that key flob batteries have nothing to do with starting.
The roadside assist guy tried using two of those jumper boxes they have to no good, he then did try using jumper cables also no good.
Onehundred80....how do I check starter??? pull it????
Thanks to all again

My car has just been sitting in the garage since 2015. It wouldn't start and it wasn't getting an engine speed signal so i figured it was the Crank sensor. I replaced it and unfortunately it didn't fix it.The car barely has any gas in it. I figured that may have been the problem earlier and put a couple of gallons in it but it didn't start. It just cranks. Even though it doesn't have much gas, whats in there is without a doubt bad. There lies another issue due to the location of the gas tank. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. I've fallen in love with my car again and I'm tired of walking by it everyday and not being able to drive it.

No codes showing up with a reader? Also check fuse #11 .. coil packs..

Also.. just a thought..disconnect fuel line after the pump and run the tank dry.. fill with fresh 2 gallons .
