My Crossfire is stuck in Drive & Neutral mode only. Was just trying to back out of my drive way and it just got stuck in Drive and will only go to Neutral, no reverse. I took apart the shifter column and arm rest to get more access. Seems like when I touch the selinoid it works
to shift to park and reverse but as soon as I change to drive and the try to go to reverse it locks up again. Can some one help.

 

This literally just happened to me and I found a fix. Theres a slot below the "D", insert a pencil into it and it should free up the gear selector.

 

Perfect it worked!!!! Still keeps happening so will keep the pencil handy until I can fix the problem. Now the BAS/ESP light comes on. I checked my computer and need to change the Secondary Air Pump and hopefully that fixes everything. Will keep you posted. Thanks for your help

 

Why do you have to replace the pump?
Keep the pencil handy then you can draw on past experience. 😉

 

Replacing the air pump will not fix the BAS/ESP light, they are 2 entirely separate components. Air pump is an emission control unit, while the BAS/ESP belongs to your traction control system.

 

Opps forgot to mention I have a error message for the Secondary Air Pump.
