3,91 rear in a limited or SRT
this is to see if their is interest, we are testing this set up as of this writing hope to have ready for you by Sept 1
3.91 rear in a limited would like adding 50 to 70 hp. I am in Ga at the this time but will be back in fl around the middle of the mo
I an others with me have come up with a 3.91 differential the diff with 3.91 gears and a tcu for less than $2000 this is to see if their is interest, we are testing this set up as of this writing
this is a plug and play, the wavetrac or detroit locker would be extra$$. we will also have other gear ratio from 307 up , jim

we have now had a 3.90 diff installed into a srt6 and we just past 200 miles on it with no problem. wow is first gear fast(i mean like you are in first gear for less than two seconds and this is at wide open throttle,.. at the end of a couple city blocks, ,you have gone through all 5 gears and you find yourself doing almost 90 mph ,, still testing and within the next 3 weeks we are installing a 3.90 into another srt6
here is what we had to do to make it fit.
1 remove the rear cover from the 3.90
2 install crossfire rear diff cover on to 3.90 diff
3 car 1, we used the rear half of a limited drive shaft ( the yoke is same as limited)
4 swap the diff just as you would on any crossfire as we have done before (no other mods to the diff.)
5 swap the TCU with one of our special set up TCU.
cost to do this yourself. TCU $600. ,, 3.90 diff $950. to $1500. ,, hardware $100. Yoke $300. or use rear driveshaft from limited ( we got no vibration using 1/2 of the limited drive shaft.
we hope to have it on the drag strip soon. and let u know what a stock srt6 with a 3.90 rear will do.

Only in one car so far,, and street only for two months with no problems. going into second V6 car soon and taken to the track. will post speed /rpm soon.
as most know I like the V8 in my crossfires doing test right now on the 3.90 rear and track times with the V6 with each mod.. I would like to borrow a upper pulley and a lower pulley 178 preferred.
will return after a few runs at the drag strip example runs
1. srt6 100% stock ----V6--3.07 rear---stock intake---93 pump gas --density-altitude1791.56ft-81 degrees---13.32 @ 105.27
2. srt6 100% stock-----v6--3.90 rear ?????? to be done
