Default ASK dual airintake????

not sure if anyone can help but i was wondering if anyone else that has bought one of these systems might be able to help me out with an install question i have on this. anyway i am wondering how the Y or T pipe attaches to the air inlet tube or the throttle body? is there suppose to be a silicone sleeve that connects the two or what?? have tried to reach sean but have been unsuccessful, not sure if he is still dealing with personal issues or not. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well between the scare of cancer and the loss of one of my wife's family members, I would say my personal life has been stressed out to the max these past few weeks.

However Scott, I hope I answered your questions in the emails I have recently sent you.

I have a question. Is the dual intake pipe really needed.? the SLK has a single pipe system available aftermarket and it looks like it might work... is the dual pipe significantly better? Or rather worth the extra 35% cost.

Heck yes! I have done both versions in the development phase of this thing. I have posted this topic "Single VS Dual" some where in this thing. Any way, the results of the single vs dual was that the Dual if I had to describe it. Would be that the all Duel's HP gains were put down on the ground. What I mean by this is, that when you get on the Gas the car just wants to rip. Its like that HP that is real low & deep, and builds and builds and seems like it will never end. I mean I would find that the car didn't want to shift out of second, and I would be hitting 75+. Now unless this is a Porsche Twin, I haven't seen that kind of power and ability come out of the Avg Sport Coupe. These cars can be a sleeper. They have all the ability in the world. Its just finding the right combo. And there are a lot of different ave.'s other then AMG's "just put a supercharger on it." way. The only draw back is working with the Cars ECU, and million safety modules. Unfortunately, its just not as easy as unplug the one thing you don't want working. You do that you now compromise 50 other different systems diagnostic programs being run. So what ever changes you want done to this car, you are going to need a DRBIII, or something that will allow you to get a close look into the heart of the Car.

The single although I got descent HP gains, it reminded me of Ford Power. Nothing against Ford at all. My wife has an Exploder, sorry I mean Explorer. No, but I am talking about, is in my experience, with the cars of Fords past. There power distribution was not great. The car, or trucks RPM's would be Pumping, and be making a great deal of noise. AS if it were working hard, and should be flying by now. However, actually it was only putting out moderate Torque, and Power. The same case here. Now the Crossfires Impressive torque will trick you, It hides its power. It shows up at different places, that aren't always consistent. With the Single intake, I found that I got more power in the mid range, and it tapered off quickly at the top. Making a lot of noise, but not really doing any more then when it started. Now with Dual, man it just blew me away. It impressively just pulled and pulled. A lot of times if I was playing with some little ricer. I would have to let off before it could peak and finally allow me to upshift. If I didn't let off I could go back in time, two times over man. I'm all for speed , but, Triple Digits on the 405 fwy is only asking for trouble. Now if trouble is looking for me, I can handle it, I'm ready. But there is no good reason to go looking for it.

Whats reasonable? I consider my pricing to be fair market value. In fact there are a few potential investors, who clearly stated, that will not get involved unless I increase each unit price. Two of them I told to go screw themselves. It's my tea party, and will invite who gets to come and play. I will not be told what I'm going to do with My Production Induction systems, simply because they have money and feel like they can make the rules. The person is what counts in my book. What you stand for. Not the size of your pocket book.

Thumbs up Re: ASK dual airintake????

So quote your fair market value! I've been reading your post for quite awhile and am impressed with the amount of time and effort you have put in developing and testing this system. I missed it when you had the system on sale and probably would have bought them then! Sans the negative comments, thank you Saskins for giving us this option!

That's what gets me about you young guys, Ya haven't even had the car a week and you want to modify it already. Geeez, you fella's are never satisfied with anything, are you? Why not take a few minutes and break that puppy in?... Actually I was just "yankin your chain". I think it's great alot of young people are picking up on these cars, and finding out what great deals you can find. If enough of you get the car out on the streets & into the brains of the "NOPI" crowd, maybe Chrysler will be able to unload some of those 04' - 05' "left overs". Just don't do anything to void that warranty. (Of course that "warranty" hasn't been doing whole lot for SASKINS).

Just a side note* My warranty has not effected my Induction system. They would have to be very creative to find away to say: that Due to your Aftermarket Cold Air Induction system, we have that we can not warrant our Drivetrain Warranties. I mean come on...The abundance of air can't be so violent to screw up the electrical, as well as the transmission. And if it could... then Mercedes Benz/ Chrysler should not be producing an Engine/Drivetrain that can be self-destructed by the introducing a higher, cooler, less turbulent volume of air.
If Chrysler can come up with how my Air Induction can cause the electronics to blow out very selective but linked parts like: Select Fuses, Control Modules, Trans Drive Plate & Some Internal Parts in the Throttle Body... I really can't see how the parts in the throttle body got tanked, but never the less, they to were effected by the car's electrical Rampage. Its also funny that the same fuses blew out after I would replace them. I mean I swap out fuses on like a daily bases.

As far as getting the car into the NOPI/Tuners crowd. I would do that, no problem. The only thing is...how am I supposed to represent a company that will not take any sort of action into fixing the problems in my car...that they want to be seen & sold. The other thing, why is it up to me to sell their cars that, they themselves have no concerns or interest in. It shows how much they care about the car and its owners. For the type of person that I am. Personally I wouldn't want to recommend something that has the probability of major failure, and then getting stuck with the bill, because the manufacturer will not take any action. Sorry I wouldn't want to convince others to come on in to the Lions Den.
