About 2 years ago I bought a 2007 XF. Been quite happy but want About 100 more hp. Looking for advice

 

How expensive/ complicated would it be to swap my N/A XF with a srt6 engine or mercedes m112k?
ore are there better cheaper ways of getting 350-400 hp

 

In order to get that much additional horsepower you will need to get the 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6.

sell your NA and buy an SRT

look into a V8 swap. There have been several done over the past few years. Lots of info on the site. Just need to search for it.

100 extra hp out of the standard engine sounds quite optimistic. Buying an SRT is a guaranteed method of getting there however.

 

I have not seen anyone get too near 200 hp at the wheels on a dyno, 197 springs to mind. l do not count nitro.

There here have been several,recent, V8 conversations. I have no insight as to the cost associated with the swap. Perhaps you could search them out on the forum and PM them for their thoughts and an approximate budget to complete this.
