Default shift issue

i checked in the troubleshooting list but didn't see my issue.upon a cold start up shifting out of first gear is delayed for about two blocks then it shifts perfectly through all gears.no codes, transmission fluid level is where it should be.it only does it on the initial daily start;rest of the day it shifts perfect.it's an automatic;just turned 160,000 miles.tranny service was done about 10k miles ago.i was thinking conductor plate or shift solenoid.

Have you checked the hot transmission fluid level? Might be a little low when cold and when expanded due to heated fluid, it works... Good luck!
