Chrysler has done it again....
For all crossfire owners. All dealers are being asked to return all oil filter numbers 5102905aa and 5102905ab to there facing depots. The new oil filter number is 5114263aa with an msrp of $53.00.
The new filters are on backorder...And our oil changes just went to the moon...Just thought I'd share this information with you...

The filters that are being recalled, are they the old style paper filter or the newer fleece filter that came out awhile back?
There is a big difference between the aftermarket filter and the current "fleece" OEM filter (I don't know anything about the one mentioned in the above post).
I wouldn't put an aftermarket filter in my car if they gave it to me. They look and feel like cheap paper and are not banded like the fleece OEM filters are.
Follow this link and then check post #16 for pics of the new and old filters. I don't have a photo of the aftermarket filter, but trust me... they are cheap in price and quality.
