Recommendations for future models
As you've probably noticed, I'm new to the forum and I'd like to say hello to all fellow Crossfire owners . . . what a car, eh?!
I've had my coupe for 8 months now (I'll post some pictures in due course) and wondered how I could make such a great car that little bit better.
A few of my ideas for extras (perhaps at extra cost if necessary) . . .
1. Headlights which come on automatically (most of the new "prestige" cars have this now).
2. Auto-dimming mirrors - all 3. I believe that the rear view mirror used to be like this - any ideas why it was discontinued?
3. Rain-sensing wipers.
4. Multi-function steering wheel (so you can change volume levels/tracks on the stereo and answer an installed phone).
5. MP3 capable sound system. The current stereo is good but needs bringing up to date.
6. Bluetooth capability. So you can link your phone into the car sound system.
Whilst the standard specification of the car is excellent, if you had the choice, what would you like to see added as extras (or standard) to the car?
Regards,
Clive

Hi,
My last ride was a Renalt sport 172 which had 1, 2, 3, and 4... this is what I thought of them...
1. Headlights which come on automatically:
COMPLETE BOLLOX -I am quite capable of turning on lights as needed.
2. Auto-dimming mirrors:
These do not work well in all conditions - my view = very dangerous.
3. Rain-sensing wipers:
Hated it, HATED IT - COMES ON WHEN NO RAIN, WILL NOT COME ON WHEN RAIN... RANT...
4. Multi-function steering wheel:
Must admit that I like this, but have not really missed it.
As for 5 and 6... Get rid of the factory head unit now, it is bollox. You will never regret it... the factory AMP is amazing... as they say **** IN ****OUT.
Your extras would of raised the price of the car for what I would classify as frivolous extras.
The only improvements I would spend money more on "IF" there was to be a new model would be:
- a little more HP (no turbo)
- rack and pinion steering
- better and softer seats
