Unhappy rear ended

some bloody ar** h*** has just ran in to the back of me in stationary traffic.
woman got out ranting at me saying there is nothing wrong with my scratched and dented bumper and that i was trying to get money out of her and she was not going to lose her no claims bonus for a couple of snobs with a posh car.

we could not be further from the truth.
my missus was fuming and give her a right mouth full.

managed to get her details and so should be ok with the insurance but am feeling piised off now that my pride and joy is scratched.

never been called a snob before, my mates will take the pi** over this.

Really sorry to hear this Slider. I never know why people just can't accept that they screwed up and take responsibility for what they have done! Hopefully you will just need the bumper refinishing.

BTW where in the midlands are you? I followed an SSB coupe off the M6 on the M42 on my way to the Autosports show the other week, could it have been you?

slider: having recently had a kn*b reverse into me with a tow bar let me re-assure you. Even though my rear bumper was only scratched I still insisted on the repair.... If you like your car perfect why should you put up with the damage, you will see it every time you look at the car. You have her details just send her a quote for the repair. Unless she refuses to admit it was her fault you should not have any need to inform your insurance company. Therefore, no access!!!

Wish you luck...

What is it about drivers in our area.

I have mine back and in pristine condition now. All went through the insurance of the other parties except the wheel which I am sorting out myself.

So you got called a snob. Yes, I think it is a car that sparks a lot of envy. I get a lot of boy racers laughing at me and gesturing at traffic lights. I try not to rise to them and let them go. I would sooner have them in front than behind. They do less damage that way, to me at any rate. I also find people will not let me out of junctions and often act like I am invisible. When I am in the PT cruiser the opposite happens - they all look scared in case I ram them and do them damage!
