My Dad backing into the driveway and guess what?
My Dad backing into the driveway and guess what?
The GREAT MAN has only gone and backed into my drivers door. Now have a nice big dent with the paint slightly cracked.
Any idea on how much something like this costs to fix. I am so busy during the days I have not been able to go and get any quotes.
If this had happened 3 years ago I would be digging his grave.
I'll post a picture when I clean the car at the weekend.

Stuff happens...Getting mad and punishing him for a mistake will not remedy the situation. He didn't do it on purpose, so let it go, have your car fixed and forget about it. I'm sure your Dad feels bad enough as it is. Don't make him feel worse or you'll end up carrying this incident to your grave.

I think Mark_UK is being ridden a little hard and put away wet on this one. I'm sure his true feelings about the incident are being misunderstood. Yes, it's frustrating to have things like this happen, but getting verbally beat up over it is not right. I'm sure what is expressed here and exactly what happend are two different scenarios. I'm sure "Dad" offered to pay for the damage if he is financially capable. Is it aggravating? You bet it is but not worth ruining a family relationship over. Mark is expressing frustration. We all do that at times.

He said if it was 3 years ago he would have been digging his grave and as for calling him an idiot he is annoyed at what happened quite rightly so.
He's just having a rant about what happened and you guys are all jumping on his back.
I would say most people that own Crossfires and bother to come on a forum are really into cars (I know I am) and if something happens to there car they are pissed off about it.
I think people are reading into this to much and I doubt he really thinks his dads an idiot it's just something you say about someone when you are pissed off with them.
I've said to my wife that I hate her when we fall out but I don't really mean it.
So just chill guys and give the guy a break.
Norrie.

Heck, I dented my crossfire and the names I called myself (idiot would have been a compliment!) were not very nice....I get so mad (but always get over it) when something happens to one of my cars....even worse if I do it myself..its just the A,B,C's of being a car guy...he was just releasing some steam and using the forum to do it.
