Re: Calling All UK Crossfires - 3RD UK Crossfire Meet
Hi, would have liked to make the last one but on family week away in darkest Yorkshire. I would like to make this one, and know this area fairly well. One of my other hobbies is Astronomy and organise a "star party" in Bakewell where we take over a campsite a mile outside the town twice a year. I can definitely reccomend the area Steve has chosen.
Might be best to avoid 12th, 13th as that is the Goodwood festival of speed and I for one am likely to go to that, not sure how many others may do ?
Like the pics from the Easter meet !

A date for the diary !
THE DATE IS NOW CONFIRMED AS 12TH & 13TH JULY 2008
This seems to be the most conveinient date for most folks, there are also various events
going on at Chatsworth durring July which it would be wise to avoid, not least because
this will have an impact on local accomodation.

Hi Jean (Mogsta)
I suggest that you do your own thing in the yard! and Tony can join the lads testing the local ale! Both Jane and I are looking forward to the third meet, hopfuly a few more Xfire will attend. Be excellent to have a yellow and red Xfires to liven up the photo shoot.
Jon (Bodyman)..You are the only member I know, that could arrange to have the only white Xfire in the UK?
Cheers
Ken.

Re: Calling All UK Crossfires - 3RD UK Crossfire Meet
Hi - just to let you know that Chatsworth House will be very pleased to have us there on the Sunday 13th July, and they are used to car enthusiasts like us lot popping in. Apparently, the Bently Society, UK Porshe Club, Aston Martin Club have all used the venue for get togethers, and because they arrive in quite high numbers i.e. 100 plus, they have a special area roped off. I have been advised that when we can can turn up with at least 25 Crossfires, we too will enjoy such special treatment! Ah' well, theres hope!
In the meantime I have been advised that on the day, the car park marshalls will be very helpfull and find us a nice little spot for us to park together.
I will doing a recce' at some time before then so if anyone fancies a run out sometime let me know.
Cheers Steve

Re: Calling All UK Crossfires - 3RD UK Crossfire Meet
Hi Steve
About accommadation for the July meet. As July is a busy holiday time and Bakewell is a small town, I wondered if Xfire owners planing to stay over should book now. A provisional booking will ensure the room, and should circumstance's change a phone within a week or so, will insure a return of the deposit.
Those of us that stayed ovet last time found it much easier all staying in the same area, for meeting up in the evening at the pub and no worry about drinking and driving.
What do you think.
Cheers
